I took a free intro class with Chris, who was very welcoming and helpful in getting me started. I then got a weekly pass and saw how much she breathes life into the studio, bringing tons of soul and style to the practice. Unlike many yoga mills where you have no idea who runs the place or what their intention is beyond filling the schedule and making money, this is not one of those studios. Chris’s instructions are clear, and she walks around the room to check in with students. She is helpful with props and reminds us of the purpose of the practice, with plenty of emphasis on breathing, releasing, and tuning into different parts of the body. She takes ample time to enter and exit poses, starting from a beginner level while offering more advanced movement for those who want it. The space is clean and comfortable, and she even has tea available before or after class. If you’re looking for a new studio to try, this is the one.
