Review of Lavendel-Bistro-Cafe-Patisserie

I was the first customer of the day and ordered the Eggs Hemingway and a rooibos tea. However, there were a few issues. Firstly, I was served the eggs on toast without the smoked salmon specified on the menu. I was about to inquire when the waitress approached me—speaking in English as I am British—to explain that the salmon was unavailable as it was still frozen. She offered ham as a substitute, which I accepted, though this "ham" turned out to be bacon. As I do not speak German and happen to like bacon, I overlooked the matter. That said, regarding the missing salmon, I would have preferred to be informed shortly after ordering rather than after the food had arrived. Thirdly, the tea was a rooibos orange with cream, rather than the regular rooibos tea listed on the menu. Additionally, while the eggs were runny in the centre, the whites weren’t cooked through, leaving some parts still transparent. Ultimately, these small errors seemed indicative of a kitchen that wasn’t quite up to speed first thing in the morning. The servers were kind and there was certainly no mal-intent; a visit later in the day would likely find things in better order.
